Job Description: The SCM Expeditor role ensures the smooth and timely flow of purchased material and parts to support production and spares requirements. This role follows up with suppliers involving their purchase order shipments to support PO delivery dates and follows up on past due orders. This position also is a liaison between suppliers, buyers, and internal production and spares teams. This includes tracking delivery dates with suppliers and resolving delivery delays that maintain production schedules. The Expeditor plays a critical role in preventing bottlenecks, minimizing downtime, and ensuring supply to meet customer requirements.
Duties and Tasks:
- Monitor purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrival of parts and materials.
- Communicate with suppliers, buyers, and internal departments regarding shop floor shortages including supplier ship date commitments.
- Maintain accurate records of order status, shipment tracking, and delivery confirmations.
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Production, SCM, and applicable internal team members to prioritize agent orders.
- Prepare and present regular status reports on order progress and delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to constantly communicate clearly and in a friendly professional manner.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for 8 hours.
- Ability to use hands, wrists and fingers to feel, handle or reach.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk.
