Job Description:

The Scheduler Associate is responsible for coordinating the activities of a production line by planning and scheduling based on customer demand. Interacts closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, Engineering and Quality to ensure all requirements are met on time.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Planning the production line run rate, from forecast, firm purchase orders, safety stock and sales order backlog
  • Maintenance of Production Line schedule (MRP report, Job Tree, JO lead time, etc.)
  • Releasing JO’s to Material Control within lead time.
  • Maintaining Serial Number Assignments in M2M.
  • Attending Production Line Boards.
  • Working with Engineering on OTO JO requirements.
  • Monitoring MFG parts Safety Stock Levels.
  • Create, train and implement best practices through written policies and procedures using Lean concepts to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor adherence to and enforce all policies and procedures to maintain safety, quality, productivity, inventory accuracy, morale and customer service
  • Engage into process improvement projects with interfacing departments to ensure positive, clear communication related to receiving and handing off of activities and functions.
  • Review and suggest methods and processes and recommend improvements for production planning to improve resource utilization.
  • Identify, plan, coordinate and communicate daily assembly & shipment priorities through measurable schedules.
  • Monthly reports with analysis.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2 to 3 years in manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of shop floor/line flow for product development.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems including MPS, MRP planning, scheduling, lead times, and capacity along with Microsoft office Work, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and understand planning, routings and bill of materials documents.
  • Ability to constructively communicate with all levels and types of personnel.
  • Ability to train and develop personnel through monitoring, measuring & improving practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be organized and able to meet deadlines.
