Job Description:SUMMARY: Small aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Sr. Accountant to be in charge of all accounting and information systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes a variety of finance documents and submits reports in an effective and timely manner utilizing computerized systems and spreadsheets. Prepares, submits and reconciles employee payroll. Responsible for the maintenance and reconciliation of accounts and records in such areas as cash, disbursements, expenses, tax payments, fixed assets, and income. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare reports, make general ledger entries and ensures accuracy of journal entries. Prepares income and balance sheet statements, profit and loss statements, consolidated statements, and other statements, reports and graphs. Responsible for distributing reports and other information to management in a timely manner. Enters payroll data in computer system for processing. Summarizes data and sends to payroll processor to print checks and pay payroll taxes. Handles group insurance by reviewing alternative plans for cost effectiveness. Ensures coverage amounts are sufficient for fire, product liability, and workers compensation. Prepares 401k work papers. Responsible for the information system, including security, maintenance, and data accuracy. Performs inventory cost analysis.
Job Requirements:5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment Proven experience working with various accounting systems
