Job Description: Professional organization is seeking an Payroll Director. This payroll director will oversee a large payroll department within our organization.Amazing opportunity for someone interested in growing and improving their career within established payroll division of a national operation. High level supervisory position. Manage employee responsibilities and accountabilities. Day to day operations of department. Guide and colaborate other team leads as to the production and deadlines required. Take care of any issues relating to the facilitation of payroll production in multi states. Supervise interview procedures for all open positions. Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes. Monitor ongoing client communications and maintain client relationships. Coordinate and manage and delegate tasks to individuals within the payroll team. Maintain staff results by coaching and encouraging employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations using confidential formats. Must communicate professionally and confidently with clients and prospects. Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Implement quality control measures. Including internal auditing process. Collaborate with Payroll Tax Manager on proper financial procedures to ensure security and timeliness.

Job Requirements: Responsible for obtaining IT and payroll goals while assisting other managers to focus on areas of improvement. Tracking client and department results shared with this position and it is imperative confidentiality is maintained. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field. Excellent computer skills; experience in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite with additional system knowledge. Experience using HCM (Human Capital Management) and payroll systems. Understanding of payroll procedures, laws, taxes, and best practices. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Excellent mathematical, analytical skills and common sense abilities. Precise attention to detail. Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player roles, encouraging team and staff; ability to mentor and lead. Excellent communication required.
