Summary:

The Operations Manager reports directly to the Vice President/General Manager for the daily operation and management oversight of personnel, equipment, and tooling. This position requires a forward-thinking and process-driven individual who can identify and implement process improvements, train and provide resources to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve company goals. This individual will be required to coordinate with other internal departments to create production plans that meet our customer needs while ensuring compliance to the RSM and QCM policies and procedures.

Job Description:
  • Accountable for providing management and direction to area supervisors to ensure daily goals are accomplished and customer requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that all areas are properly staffed with competent personnel to perform, supervise and certify that the work being performed is in compliance with the facilities RSM/QCM.
  • Oversee and report operations KPIs – look for opportunities for continuous improvement and implement quantitative efficiency improvements
  • Provide necessary support through training and assisting subordinates in the proper procedures and best practices while ensuring they align with FAA145/EASA standards.
  • Maintaining the repair station’s equipment and ensuring tools are in a serviceable working condition while assuring calibration schedules of special tools and equipment are adhered to.
  • Ensuring that all necessary maintenance forms and Work Orders used by the repair station are properly executed by the responsible personnel.
  • Maintaining the premises of the repair station in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Ensuring that required safety equipment is available and maintained at the repair station.
  • Ensuring that all production personnel at the repair station observe health and safety precautions.
  • Continual assessment, development and training of all shop personnel

Job Requirements:
  • Meet company hiring requirements, including passing drug screen and background check.
  • Minimum 10 years leadership in Aerospace industry, component repair and overhaul specific experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or A&P certificate recommended
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Be at least 18 years of age and a US citizen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and use various software, including Quantum ERP system, internet, e-mail and business systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to accept and understand direction on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet strict schedules in a fast-paced environment.
