Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager for a Wichita-based metal fabricator specializing in structures, railings, metals and industrial weldments. As the Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing and optimizing our operational processes to ensure efficiency and productivity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Providing leadership and guidance to the operations team to foster a positive work environment and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Production planning and control: Ensuring that all activities are completed on time and within budget, and setting and achieving production targets
- Quality assurance: Working with QC to review product and ensure we have processes in place to continually meet customer expectations
- Hiring and training: Interviewing, selecting, and hiring employees, training new and existing employees, and overseeing performance evaluations
- Equipment maintenance: Managing the repair schedule for machinery
- Safety: Ensuring that all employees follow safety guidelines and maintain the safety culture
- Process improvement: Analyzing and improving operational processes to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to increase productivity and efficiency
- Resource optimization: Optimizing resource utilization and eliminating waste

- Strong personal drive to succeed under pressure and deadlines
