Job Description:
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standard, or product design, materials and parts.
  • Analyze costs and benefits of proposed designs or projects.
  • Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop technical methods or processes and provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
  • Work with management to Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing conditions.
  • Perform facility layout and planning for optimum manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee plans for implementing projects.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes and prepare documentation.
  • Design, oversee installation, or troubleshoot industrial and production equipment, or systems. Determine causes of operational problems or failures.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in related field.
  • Knowledge in steel and aluminum manufacturing (fabrication and welding) equipment and processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of part drawings, assembly drawings and design layouts.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Skilled and proficient with standard ERP and office software.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required.
