Job Description:

Review engineering data and specifications to ensure manufacturing related requirements can be met.

Develop work instructions and sequencing of events to support delivery schedule.

Work instructions to include identification of sequential and final inspection procedures.
-
Provide configuration accountability for the implementation of committed changes. Develop tooling requirements based on engineering requirements.

Perform assessments for a product design and provide input for design engineering, process development, and technologies to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Review/approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.
-
Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.

Advance lean manufacturing principles to improve manufacturing efficiencies.

Evaluate and suggest recommendations on the manufacturing quality control processes, types of manufacturing methods to be adopted, list of processes to be followed, and tooling and suggest fixturing.

Minimum 5 years of related experience as Manufacturing Planner, Manufacturing Engineer, and/or Tool Planner within the aviation industry – OR 10 years in a manufacturing/fabrication aviation environment

Must be able to prioritize assignments and work with minimal supervision.

Effectively liaise with quality, purchasing, production and other departments.
-
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.

Must show strong initiative/ownership with the ability to make decisions.
-
Experience with Microsoft office tools is mandatory.
-
The ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.
-
Experience with an ERP system is mandatory; experience with M2M is preferred.

CATIA or Enovia experience is highly preferred.

Ability to collect, organize and analyze data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
