Summary:

A stable and growing global law firm with low turnover has a rare opening for an IP and General Commercial Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years of IP litigation experience for its Dallas office.  Hybrid WFH policy.  Work directly with attorneys on high profile, high stakes litigation with a dynamic team of extraordinary lawyers and paralegals.  Responsible for cases from beginning to end.

Job Description:

This position will focus on Intellectual Property litigation cases.  Working under the supervision of attorneys and more seasoned paralegals, you will have the opportunity to work on high stakes cases with a dynamic legal team.  Many cases are heard out of State and before the ITC, so in this role, travel may be involved. You will organize litigation case materials, create privilege logs, cite-check, perform pre-trial preparation which includes preparation of depositions and trial exhibits, etc.  In addition, as appropriate, you may be asked to take the lead paralegal role on a case. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong paralegal and technical skills, great personal confidence and who is highly organized and communicative.

The successful candidate must have a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program and a minimum of three years of relevant work.  We are looking for someone with the demonstrated ability to support complex litigation cases from beginning to end.  In addition to being a fast learner, team-oriented, with a service-oriented, “can do” attitude, successful candidates must be articulate, attentive to details and extremely thorough.

Education and Experience:

A four-year degree with a strong GPA is required.  Strong computer skills are required including Word and Excel (facility with tables and charts), Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and familiarity with PowerPoint.  Experience with litigation databases such as Concordance, Summation or Relativity is required as is experience with transcript databases such as LiveNote, Binder, etc. There is often the need to work outside of scheduled hours.
