Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to join our team. As the Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company’s financial operations. This is a leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Review and approve journal entries and other accounting transactions.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions and staff including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and  billing.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, including training and development opportunities.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software required.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Microsoft Office and cloud computing preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
