Job Description: Reconcile all bank accounts and prepare monthly financial data for attorney review, which requires above average knowledge of Excel. Prepare financial statements and mid- and end-year data for firm's CPA. Issue partner draws per instructions and reconcile same with balance sheet capital accounts. Assure that all firm expenses are paid in a timely manner. In charge of the firm's monthly billing cycle plus ad hoc billing as directed by attorneys. Answer all client inquiries regarding their statements. Issue trust checks as requested by paralegals/attorneys. Meeting the firm's payroll needs for staff and members, including timecard reconciliation and payroll calculation using payroll software, issuing direct deposits, paying payroll taxes, including 401K deferments and issuing quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Aid in recruiting staff by placing ads, filtering initial resumes received, forwarding qualified candidate resumes to attorneys, setting up and participating in interviews. Initial on-boarding of hires. o Direct supervision of receptionist and file clerk/runner. Phone duties when necessary (overflow). o Handle maintenance requests

Job Requirements: o Bachelor in Accounting. Has above average knowledge of Excel, o Has previous experience with payroll software or ADP, o Has previous experience with law firm practice management software such as Juris / Tabs / Cosmolex / Clio / Sage Timeslips, o Has trust accounting experience, o Can multi-task and easily prioritize, is an excellent communicator, performs well under minimal supervision and is professional, accurate and detail oriented
