Summary:
Established manufacturing company in Carrollton Texas looking for a General Administrative Assistant for the Safety and Quality Department. This is a Temporary to Hire position. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Director, Quality and Safety and provides administrative support as required.
Job Description: - Provide administrative assistance to the Inspection, Quality Assurance and Maintenance Training areas of the Quality and Safety Department.
- Duties include record keeping, data base entry, filing, monitoring personnel changes within the maintenance organization, scheduling personnel, completing reports and advising the department head and staff on matters related to QA, Inspection and Training.
- Record keeping responsibilities include personnel training records, vendor files, and processing of various training forms.
- Database entry responsibilities include initial entry of new employee previous training records, and ongoing training data of current employees into the company training and personnel database.
- Assist Quality Assurance Manager with maintaining the approved Vendor database, new and recurring audit mailings, and approved vendor files.
- Filing responsibilities include initiating new personnel training files, updating changes to training files, assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining required files and reports
- Monitoring personnel change responsibilities include coordinating with the Human Resources Department regarding personnel additions and departures to ensure appropriate files are initiated or archived.
- Scheduling responsibilities include assisting identifying personnel training requirements and providing lists of personnel needing initial or recurrent training.
- Coordinates with the Maintenance Training Manager in these duties.
- Completing reports responsibilities includes providing information for the completion of the monthly QA activity report and generating training reports as needed.
- Conduct or assist in incident investigations.
- Actively support the company safety program and activities.
- Support the Director Quality & Safety with other business activities as needed.

Job Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years manufacturing and/or shipping/receiving experience.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office. (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Pays close attention to detail and completes work accurately and efficiently.
