Job Description:

The Accountant / Bookkeeper is a liaison between partners, clients and staff members. They will be responsible for multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously. As Accountant, you will work closely with engagement managers/supervisors in coordination of engagement workflow, time management, and auditing, accounting, and consulting services.

Duties to include:

  • Perform testing for financial statement audits, reviews, and other assurance services, including workpapers detailing processes and conclusions
  • Recognize, research and perform testing to verify clients’ balance sheet and income statement account balances.
  • Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures as required under GAAP or other accounting framework, as applicable.
  • Interact with clients to identify and resolve field audit issues.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by partners.
  • Provide excellent client service—maintaining client relationships by serving as a liaison for the client, promptly troubleshooting and resolving client issues.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, or near completion
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or ability to obtain in the near term, a plus
  • Previous accounting work experience, a plus
