Job Description:

Join a dynamic team as a Vice President of Business Development. We are seeking a strategic leader with a proven track record in market expansion, sales growth, leading and managing the sales division, planning, and maintaining revenue and membership development and prospecting.


  • Provides leadership to the sales team.
  • Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure sales and strategic goals are met.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Assigns territories and sets goals for sales teams.
  • Consults with potential donors to understand their needs; identifies and suggests sponsorships and memberships that will meet those needs.
  • Resolve member concerns, staffing issues, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales initiatives and strategies.
  • Provides funding expertise while strategically managing development.
  • In addition to preparing the sales budget, monitors and approves expenses.
  • Acts as company representative during investor relations negotiations.
  • Personally responsible for development and maintenance of investors and members.
  • Responsible for having a sales goal and meeting or exceeding that goal.
  • Establishes and continues to build goodwill and great relationships with existing and prospective investors, members, sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in market expansion and sales growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Outstanding prior record of sales leadership experience required.
  • Proven experience in market expansion and sales growth.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and executing business development strategies.
  • Proficiency in project management to drive successful outcomes.
  • At least five years of sales experience required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and expertise in customer relationship management.
