The Software Support Specialist will be responsible for day to day support, maintenance, testing and training of SmartVMA software applications. Provides Technical Assistance to end users for a Corporate Manufacturing entity in downtown Wichita.

Job Description:
  • Focus on end user troubleshooting
  • Manage queue of support tickets
  • Train end users on applicable software packages
  • Escalate issues to vendors as needed
  • Work on database/back end set up to prepare for new client use
  • Interact with end users, vendors, and other participants to ensure the efficient utilization of systems according to industry standards
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical users
  • Monitor and implement cloud solutions using vendor specific cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services).
  • Performs many duties involving IT functions including, but not limited to, network, servers, clients, Internet, Intranet, and database administration
  • Cross-train as needed to support or back up team members

Job Requirements:
  • Associates’ degree or BS in Computer Science, MIS, or other technical field preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of help-desk experience required.
  • Medium level proficiency with MySQL preferred.
