Job Description:

The Labor & Employment Practice Group of Public Interest law firm seeks attorneys with a minimum of 6 years’ litigation experience (including written discovery, taking depositions, motion practice and pre-trial and/or trial experience in state and federal court); dispute resolution (pre- and post-litigation) and negotiating severance agreements; administrative proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission(EEOC), and Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH); advising clients on reasonable accommodation, disciplinary matters; labor relations; and experience conducting or overseeing workplace investigations.

Job Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience advising and litigating in a wide range of employment and labor issues, including terminations, harassment and discrimination claims and wage and hour class actions.
  • Qualified applicants will demonstrate strong analytical, legal research, and writing abilities.
  • Experience engaging in contact with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, mediators, arbitrators, and representatives of administrative bodies such as the Department of Labor, and OSHA.
  • Solid academic credentials, California Bar Membership, superb judgment and communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent client services.
