Aerospace engineering company looking for an experienced Senior Structure Engineer.

Job Description:
  • Predictive and substantiating data development using FAA standard analytical techniques.
  • Develop internal and external load distributions.
  • Perform structural analysis (stress and fatigue) of aircraft primary and secondary structure using classical analytic methods.
  • 2D and 3D conception, layout and detail design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Creation and review of test fixtures and overall test setups.
  • Test plan development and test fixture design. Instrumentation requirements and inspection support. standard FAA certification project support applicable to PMA, major alteration, and major repair approvals.
  • Provide structural review, comment, and approval of engineering drawings. Perform analysis and testing needed to validate finite element models / simulations and analyze structural test results.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in aircraft structural engineering.
  • Highly skilled in aircraft structural analysis using classical analytic methods and analytical tools.
  • Highly skilled with finite element mesh development.
  • Proficient developing primary and secondary structural aircraft load distributions.
  • Knowledgeable with both composite and metallic material specifications and processes.
  • Proficient with drafting processes using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
