As the Senior Accountant you will be instrumental in helping clients create and follow standard operating procedures when it comes to their accounting needs, conducting complex financial analyses, and managing client engagements with precision and professionalism. Responsibilities will not only involve meticulous financial record-keeping and reporting but also advising on strategic decisions and planning.
Duties:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for clients. Analyze financial data to identify trends, forecast future financial positions, and provide actionable insights to management.
- Tax Preparation & Planning: Lead the preparation of income tax returns for both individuals and businesses across various sectors. Provide strategic tax planning advice to minimize liabilities and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Accounting Processes & Controls: Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with client management to develop comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor financial performance against budgets, identifying variances, and suggesting corrective actions.

- Excellent knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Working knowledge of Thomson Reuters UltraTax and related programs.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Must be willing to work 60 hour weeks during tax season.
