Summary:
This position will be responsible for executing and developing Quality Management System by collecting data from audits and customer feedback to address top quality issues. The Quality Engineer will address issues by determining root cause and developing action plans to address issues and place process controls to prevent recurrence. This position takes ownership for the effective and timely application of quality tools and principles through the exercise of project management skills and Kaizen activities.
Job Description:

Leads Quality projects and facilitate cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and tools

Involves shop floor personnel in quick response problem solving events and trains them in the use of problem-solving tools.

Prepares detailed plans, drives project performance, and assures timely completion of product/process improvement, using standard tracking and reporting systems.

Assists in the gathering and reporting of Quality Metric data.

Lead Kaizen activity to improve plant quality.

Complete warranty and scrap reduction projects.

Work with the shop floor to improve quality through problem solving exercises

Develop and improve the Quality Management System
Job Requirements:

Degree in Engineering with a Quality or Continuous Improvement Focus

A minimum of two years’ experience in Continuous Improvement or Quality

Strong demonstrated Kaizen Leadership experience

Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.

Effective and professional communication and organization skills.

Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to process improvement projects.
