Job Description:

As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll activities within the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while adhering to financial regulations and company policies.

Duties

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and timely.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Assist in payroll audits as needed.
  • Assist with other accounting processes to include accounts payable.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of payroll processing – Understanding of payroll taxes, laws, regulations, and overtime calculations.
  • ADP Enterprise EV5 experience is required.
  • Previous use of ABI timekeeping software.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft D365 accounting software preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial management principles.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial concepts.
