Job Description:


The General Manager of a garage door sales, installation and maintenance company is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, from strategic planning to day-to-day management. This individual plays a critical role in driving the company’s growth, profitability, and overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, expand market presence, and achieve revenue targets. This includes identifying new business opportunities, assessing market trends, and developing strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including sales, installation, maintenance, customer service, and administrative functions. Ensure efficient and effective processes are in place to deliver high-quality services to customers while maximizing operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the company’s team members, including sales representatives, technicians, customer service personnel, and administrative staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and employee engagement.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to generate leads, acquire new customers, and maintain existing customer relationships. This includes overseeing sales activities, developing marketing campaigns, and implementing promotional initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive sales growth.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at every touchpoint, from initial inquiries and sales consultations to installation and ongoing maintenance services. Implement processes to monitor customer satisfaction, address feedback and complaints, and continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Financial Management: Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monitor key financial metrics, analyze performance trends, and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability and achieve financial targets.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 10 years of proven experience in a leadership role within the garage door sales and installation or related industry.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
