A financial services firm is seeking a Financial Planner and Analyst. This individual will be spear-heading the Company’s annual budgeting process, financial quarterly forecast, operating plan variance analysis and special projects to provide accurate and timely financial consulting and strategic support to senior management.

Job Description:
  • Develop ad hoc analysis, scenarios analysis, new product analysis, and multi-year modeling.
  • Leverage data, technology, relationships, and team members to develop and guide strategy and operations.
  • Research statistical and financial data to spot trends and opportunities that drive business recommendations.
  • Identify key drivers and metrics, quantify impacts, and forecasts to the business.
  • Identify challenges; propose, create, and implement solutions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial analyses to monitor and facilitate operating and financial trends with respect to revenue, expenses, and headcount.
  • Identify and research variances to budget, forecast, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencies, process improvement, or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor current and past trends in key performance indicators daily, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, inventory, and cash.
  • Lead projects and business review meetings, with cross-functional business utilizing multiple departments, reviewing metrics and goals.
  • Analyze financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with the senior management to formulate the business’s financial and strategic plan.
    Create, prepare, and provide presentations to the management team that provides analysis, identify required action items, and outline decisions to be made.
    Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports.

Job Requirements:
  • BS in Finance or Accounting with 3 to 5 years of experience with stellar standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • 3+ years experience in financial planning and analysis, with significant analytical skillset, including the utilization reporting tools.
  • Experience in navigating, querying, and reporting from a relational database system with the ability to design, originate, adapt, and explain highly complex financial models.
