Summary:

Directs the organizations financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, owner, and financial community by performing the following duties personally or thru your staff.

Job Description:
  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.
  • Directs accounting staff in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting.
  • Manges the activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization.
  • Appraises the organization’s financial position and issues periodic reports on the organization’s financial stability, liquidity and growth.
  • Monthly closing and financial statement preparation for multiple entities
  • Select and engage auditors and consultants as necessary
  • Compliance including annual reports and business license, personal property and miscellaneous taxes, and liaison with tax accountants.
  • Risk management for all required insurance coverages.
  • Analyzes consolidated and direct all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
  • Oversee and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation’s annual report.
  • Analyzes and studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organizations policies and operations
  • Identifying investment opportunities returns/risk and managing merges and acquisitions
  • Developing plans for growth to increase profit while also reducing expenditures

Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years prior experience in heavy construction preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, equivalent experience or CPA preferred
  • A track record of leadership in fast-growing organizations and building high-performance teams
  • Must be competent in presenting ideas, concepts, and technical strategies in individual and group settings
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, economic, business and political climates
  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office, Viewpoint accounting software, and databases.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic, priorities management, organizational, and teamworking skills
  • Ability to handle difficult, confrontational, and/or sensitive issues with professionalism while using tact, courtesy, and discretion.
  • Able to think on one’s feet” and respond to government, regulatory and customer inquiries in clear, credible, and concise terms.
  • Ability to build teams, think critically and manage, motivate and lead employees.
