Job Description: Summary: A growing team of CPA’s based in Wichita is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide an entrepreneurial spirit, committed to fostering fiscal and operational excellence. Must be a strong business leader who is able to execute on institutional goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Financial processes and oversight related to accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, accounts payable, financial reporting, treasury management and payroll.
- Financial planning and analysis including preparation of the company’s budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans, working closely with leadership and departments.
- Participate in developing new business, assisting the President in identifying opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective new programs.
- As part of the business development process, work with cross-functional teams to validate financial aspect of new initiatives including creating pro-formas and using various methods of financial analysis.
- Prepare various metrics and ad-hoc business analysis to better inform management decisions.
- Enforce and monitor effective financial controls.
- Train other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters including budgeting and metrics analysis.
- Assist with raising capital funds for projects requiring long-term financing.
- Create budgetary approval processes and practices that support the mission of the organization.
- Review existing and potential contracts and advise the Executive Team on matters. related to negotiation and implementation.
- Manage compliance with all laws & regulations.

- 5+ years of progressively responsible and successful accounting experience in a growing, complex, multifaceted organization.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a leadership team.
- Experience coordinating efforts across functions and departments.
- Strong GAAP.
- Advanced in QuickBooks.
- Advanced in Microsoft 365.
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
