Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Job Description:
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly and year-end annual financial statements
  • Work with all department heads preparing annual budgets.
  • Manage capital expenditure disbursements and budgets, including both monthly and year end reporting.
  • Analyze processes for improvement including movement to paperless statements, receipts, and payments. Recommend and implement process changes where appropriate
  • Perform monthly variance analysis between actual results and budget
  • Assist with monthly cash forecasts
  • Ensure regular reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure proper recording of all cash transactions
  • Record loan payments and reconcile all loan balances monthly
  • Oversee the proper recording of all credit card transactions
  • Manage and review the correct recording of all lease payments
  • Update Employee Handbook, Forms, and oversee annual performance review process
  • Understanding of Kansas state laws and regulations preferred.

Job Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proven track record of working independently, as well as within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various situations and needs quickly.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments, is detail-oriented, and meets deadlines.
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience as a controller, financial manager, or CPA.
  • Experience coordinating independent financial audits.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.

EDUCATION:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
