Job Description:

Financial Strategy, Planning, and Communication:

The CFO will play a critical role in developing and executing the company’s financial strategy. This role will oversee all financial activities, manage financial risks, and ensure the financial health of the company. It calls for a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and the ability to lead and motivate a small finance team. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy, Planning, and Communication:

  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and management to align financial strategies with company goals.
  • Support strategic initiatives with financial analysis and insights.
  • Create and manage the company’s annual budget and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to the CEO and owners.
  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to the CEO and owners.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Implement and manage internal controls and financial reporting systems.
  • Create and oversee the budgeted hourly rate (BHR).

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Ensure the company’s assets are adequately safeguarded and maintained.
  • Manage insurance and other risk management programs.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Streamline and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement cost-saving measures and optimize financial performance.
  • Oversee the company’s payroll, tax, and accounting operations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while ensuring effective departmental support.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
