Summary:

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) your duties will include aiding nursing staff in taking vitals for medication management clients. Preparing clients for their appointments, taking medical history. The CMA could also assist with submitting medical forms for clients. Answering phone calls in courteous, efficient manner for Medication providers and nursing staff.

Description:

  • Ensures a high level of quality service provided to clients.
  • Enters and validates required data in the system, with emphasis on accuracy.
  • Records comments in the system to permit timely and accurate follow up.
  • Answers multi-line telephone system in a prompt, courteous manner.
  • Schedule client appointments.
  • Responds to requests in a friendly, cooperative manner, as determined by feedback from clients, family members and other employees.
  • Operates as a team with co-workers by approaching relationships in a manner which avoids antagonism and reduces conflict.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for all information communicated at meetings.
  • Ensures proper utilization of supplies and resources.
  • Obtains clients’ vital signs and enters into electronic health record.
  • Submitting medical claim forms in a timely manner to assist clients.
  • Maintaining patient medical records in electronic health record.
  • Assisting with discharging medication management clients.
  • Oversees the processing of medical records requests, insuring HIPPA standards are maintained and requests are handled timely.

Job Requirements:
  • CMA certification.
  • One-year experience in data entry, customer service, or medical front office.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with electronic health records is a plus.
  • Ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
