Summary:

Local property management company looking for a Accounts Receivable Associate to assist in the accounting department.

Job Description:
  • Reports delinquencies by first reviewing cash sheets including coding, leases, and move-out reports. Correct the delinquencies and send occupant proofs and rent rolls mid­ month to each property and have them review for corrections.
  • Records monthly for subsidy payments & works with accounting lead to make adjustments.
  • Bills incentive bonuses due leasing personnel by correcting lease information they submit and routing it for approval and payment.
  • Substantiates charges by logically and accurately filing leases and related papers, by retrieving and copying documents on request.
  • Insure all appropriate documents are uploaded into Yardi Software, upload any missing documents. Reconciling AIR balances at move-out to vacated AIR input forms, researching & reconciling tenant balances with community office personnel, auditing occupancy, and billing affiliates.
  • Check to ensure all new & renewal leases are entered correctly.
  • Set-up and make tenant changes as needed.
  • Provide AIR reports from Yardi on request, check for cancel/denied applications and process deposit account.
  • Work with accounting lead to process tenant move outs as training progresses.
  • Reverse late fees when charged in error to tenant profiles.
  • Work with Managers for tenant account reconciliations and adjustments.
  • In-put property budgets into the accounting software yearly.
  • Supports the work of the Apartment & Construction Accounting Lead/Assistant Controller & EVP by performing duties as requested.

Job Requirements:
  • Highschool or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of accounts receivable background preferred.
  • Efficient and accurate office skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
