Job Description:
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting principles and processes.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with client personnel.
  • Respond to client requests and inquiries.
  • Coordinate special projects for clients.
  • Take primary responsibility leading new client onboarding process.
  • Review staff accountant period close work.
  • Review monthly or period financial statements (as applicable)
  • Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes.
  • Meet reporting and filing deadlines.
  • Advise other staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
  • Monitor profitability of client services and evaluate feasible solutions.
  • Provide training and development to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Conduct staff performance evaluations.
  • Assist leadership team with special projects as needed.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Previous leadership experience (i.e., building, developing and supervising a team, being a driver of company initiatives, project leadership, or similar)
  • 3+ years relevant accounting experience with progressive responsibilities
  • Audit experience preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with colleagues in team focused environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Displays professionalism and confidentiality among clients and staff.
  • Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under pressure of deadlines.
