Ensure compliance with appropriate accounting principles and processes.
Develop a strong working relationship with client personnel.
Respond to client requests and inquiries.
Coordinate special projects for clients.
Take primary responsibility leading new client onboarding process.
Review staff accountant period close work.
Review monthly or period financial statements (as applicable)
Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes.
Meet reporting and filing deadlines.
Advise other staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.
Monitor profitability of client services and evaluate feasible solutions.
Provide training and development to new and existing staff as needed.
Conduct staff performance evaluations.
Assist leadership team with special projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Previous leadership experience (i.e., building, developing and supervising a team, being a driver of company initiatives, project leadership, or similar)
3+ years relevant accounting experience with progressive responsibilities
Audit experience preferred.
Experience with accounting software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
