Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in real estate accounting. This role is essential for providing insights that drive investment decisions and support the overall strategic goals of our organization. Will be managing 2 to 3 individuals in a team environment.

Duties
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to evaluate real estate investment opportunities.
• Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Manage bank reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Analyze market trends, property values, and economic factors affecting real estate investments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the financial viability of potential projects.
• Mentor other individuals in the accounting department.
• Stay informed about relevant laws, including wills, trusts, estate law, and securities law that may impact real estate transactions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with public accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with debits and credits as they relate to financial transactions.
• Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll experience.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Some previous management background.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations.
