Job Description: This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the primary accounting, bill payment/processing, financial reporting, and, as needed, administrative support for multiple stakeholders.
This position requires a high degree of accuracy, willingness to exercise independent judgement and the ability to successfully multitask.
Duties
Maintain and prepare consolidated financial statements including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, and statement of changes in cash.
- Prepare monthly work papers and reconciliations that support the financial statements and work with outside auditors to complete the annual audits.
- Develop and maintain the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger records for assigned properties or development projects.
- Oversee the handling of billing/invoicing, cash receipts, data entry, budgets, fixed asset accounting, expenses, and other administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
- Review tenant invoice preparation, accounting system data entry, and verify general ledger transaction accuracy.
- Use accounting system, databases, and spreadsheets to track expenditures, revenue, receipts, cash flow, and other financial activities.
- Verify the accuracy and provide data entry oversight for business transactions from documents such as leases, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
- Analyze financial information and compile ad hoc reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to business operations.

- Minimum of 5 years in full-cycle accounting roles within private industry or corporate entities, where you owned the entire close process and data-to-statement translation.
- Experience should demonstrate progressive increases in responsibility, scope, and complexity.
- Full cycle accounting experience with a multi-entity company and/or commercial real estate firm is preferred.

- Effective time management skills and ability to recognize opportunities for efficiency.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with high initiative, flexibility, and team approach to work.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid accounting information system (AIS) experience necessary to independently troubleshoot reporting errors or track data anomalies through the system.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills necessary to perform data analysis and reporting.
