Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing revenue streams, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help drive accurate financial insights, facilitate regulatory compliance, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Duties

  • Prepare and review revenue recognition entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulations.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliation for revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness across the general ledger.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash flow analysis to optimize liquidity.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures related to revenue activities.
  • Utilize accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar platforms for journal entries, ledger management, and reporting.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting requirements and support external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field helpful but not required.
  • Bookkeeping skills required.
  • Oil and gas experience not required but a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts.
  • Experience working with accounting software such as PeopleSoft, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis including pivot tables, formulas, and data management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for report writing and collaboration.
