Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager / Estimator to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project coordination, and site experience. On a daily basis you will participate in all aspects of the bid/estimating process – review of plans and specs, soliciting and negotiating prices from subcontractors/suppliers and interaction with owners/architects/engineers. This role requires proficiency in various construction management software and tools, as well as excellent time management and communication skills.

Duties

  • Perform quantity take-offs.
  • Assist in pricing and bidding of construction projects.
  • Communicate with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials and schedule requirements.

  • Review drawing revisions, bulletins and field sketches for changes to the work. Assess risk for change orders.
  • Update bid documents and logs referencing related changes.

  • Prepare and track all requests for information (RFI) related to the building project during the bid or construction change phases.
  • Prepare a revised computerized, “critical path” schedule showing logic, early start dates and duration for all project activities.

  • Prepare contractual exhibits for scope of work for subcontracts.
  • Participate in hard bid/estimating/GMP budgeting activities by soliciting subcontractor support and evaluating bids.
