Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Office / Accounting Manager to oversee our small growing team and to handle day to day bookkeeping and accounting operations.. The ideal candidate will have office manager and bookkeeping background. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping & accounting operations of the business which include customer invoicing, accounts receivable, daily reconciling & cash management and accounts payable.
  • Weekly & Monthly responsibilities include reconciling bank accounts, monthly sales tax reporting, processing payroll and withholding taxes and quarterly payroll reporting.
  • Annual preparation of W2’s & 1099’s with applicable Federal and state filing.
  • Assist in purchasing, inventory control and human resources along with other miscellaneous duties.
  • Keep social media accounts such as Facebook updated with current content.
  • Backing up and answering the phone system and directing calls as needed.
  • Willingness to learn the industry, inventory & associated vendors to help the salesmen out when needed or if they are unavailable.
  • This position will be part of our management team working closely with our GM, Shop Manager & Co-Owners to maintain and increase profitability and make sure our assets and resources are used efficiently & effectively and safeguarded.

Job Requirements:
  • Past experience with general bookkeeping, accounting, general ledger and payroll.
  • College degree is not mandatory but must have solid experience and skills in accounting, bookkeeping, general ledger and payroll.
  • This person must be willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done. This is not a supervising position.
  • Knowledge & experience working with QuickBooks or similar product. (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
  • General computer skills including Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Good customer service skills in dealing with the public and customers.
