RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cost Estimation: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to accurately estimate the costs associated with mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Material and Labor Assessment: Evaluate the quantities of materials and labor required for mechanical installations, considering factors such as project scope, specifications, and local building codes.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services needed for mechanical installations.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and potential risks associated with mechanical systems.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive bids for mechanical work, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide support during the pre-construction phase, including attending meetings, answering queries, and providing technical expertise as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation. Generate reports and summaries as required for internal review and client presentations.

- Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, FastPIPE, or similar applications.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all estimates and deliverables.
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CAD software and practices a plus.
