Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Processor to join a dynamic team in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of loan processing, underwriting, and mortgage servicing. This role involves evaluating loan applications, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and facilitating the loan origination process efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to gather necessary documentation and information.
  • Ensure compliance with TILA regulations and other relevant laws.
  • Process loans from origination through closing, including escrow management.
  • Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications related to loan processing.
  • Prepare contracts and other necessary documentation for loan approval.
  • Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loans and financial assessments.
  • Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.

Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in loan processing or related roles within financial services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FNMA guidelines and underwriting processes is a plus.
  • Understanding of mortgage servicing practices and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough credit analysis.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic math, contracts, banking processes, and escrow management.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, lenders, and team members.
