Job Description: Support the work of multiple attorneys and be responsible for the full range of duties typical of a paralegal who assists with litigation matters in state and federal courts: maintaining and organizing case files, including extensive e-discovery coordination and electronic document management; assisting in the management of cases from inception to final disposition and through appeal; preparing first drafts of common litigation documents, such as discovery requests and responses, motions and supporting documents, research memoranda; assisting the firm’s attorneys in preparing for court appearances, depositions, and other proceedings; conducting factual research to support the firm’s cases; interfacing with the firm’s clients; managing the discovery process, including working with vendors, managing documents and other materials produced or received in discovery; and related litigation activities.

Job Requirements: Candidates must have the following credentials: a minimum of five years of experience working on litigation matters in a law firm; exceptional Excel skills, including thorough knowledge of pivot tables; close familiarity with the rules that govern litigation in state and federal courts, including the local rules and filing requirements; significant experience managing discovery in complex litigation, including extensive experience with e-discovery platforms and electronic document management; attention to detail, including the ability to proofread documents accurately and to ensure court papers are in compliance with the BlueBook and other citation guides; the ability to communicate and engage effectively and professionally with firm attorneys, opposing counsel, and clients; strongly developed organizational skills with the ability to anticipate client and attorney requests; and a great attitude.
