Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Lead Tax Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in tax accounting principles and practices, with the ability to navigate complex financial regulations. This role will be responsible for tax law matters, specifically tax credits for businesses (ERC) and R&D. Position is a remote position.
- Respond to tax related questions from other departments.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals to create an action plan for complicated matters.
- Communicate with the IRS to resolve issues.
- Participate in client meetings to address file status and request needed documentation.
- Attend department meetings to provide updates as requested.
- Provide reports to leadership on a regular basis.
- Maintain documentation of work performed for each assigned file.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Outstanding customer service skills required.
- Previous experience working with the IRS required.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel required.
- Oral and written communication skills required.
- Litigation experience preferred.
