Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Construction Estimator. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates for construction projects to include skylights / canopies / translucent roof and wall systems ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. You will work closely with senior estimators and project managers to analyze project specifications, develop pricing strategies, and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Duties
- Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for takeoffs and estimating.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs and assist in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in site visits to gather data for accurate estimating and assess construction site conditions.
- Contribute to project management efforts by providing timely estimates that align with project schedules.
- Support the development of pricing strategies based on market trends and historical data.
