Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Oversees background screening and substance abuse testing programs.
Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed.
Answers all employment verifications and responds to survey requests for information.
Provides backup for the receptionist.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework preferred, or a minimum of one to two years of recent job-related experience in a human resource department, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word software.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
