Job Description: Duration: 6 – 12 month contractSummary:Mid-sized aerospace manufacturer in Wichita, KS is currently seeking an Avionics Lab Manager, responsible for directing and coordinating activities of the Avionics Lab. Responsible for managing people, schedules and equipment to achieve company goals with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and on time delivery. Also involved in providing superior customer service to customers.
Responsibilities
Direct and mentor avionics employees of a high-end, technical lab that repairs/overhauls aircraft avionics components, such as, GPS, weather radar, navigation/communication systems, autopilot systems and accessories in accordance with MFG specifications and FAA guidelines
Review and monitor repair/overhaul activities to meet customer and stock demands
Responsible for communication with customers regarding quotations, repairs and delivery
Establish technician schedules that will ensure quality and delivery of product meets smpecifications
Prepare and reviews lab reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays
Coordinate and interface closely with West caost facility regarding repair lab activities
Provide input and analysis on sales forecast

Job Requirements: Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of experience managing/supervising an avionics lab in the aircraft industry
10+ years of aircraft avionics with experience in general aviation avionics
Current working knowledge of FAA and EASA regulations
Demonstrated ability to lead, train and motivate lab employees
