Summary:

CPA consulting firm specializing in assisting client in accessing state and federal tax credits, stimulus funds and loan forgiveness is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for providing leadership in formulating and implementing HR strategies to support business objectives for a rapidly growing company.
  • Plan, direct and carry out policies relating to all phases of talent management activities: talent acquisition, onboarding & engagement, development, performance management, succession planning and workforce management.
  • Oversee recruiting and selection of new employees to fill key vacant positions.
  • Formulate and conduct as needed new employee orientations to foster positive onboarding toward company culture and goals.
  • Maintain records of insurance coverage, retirement plans and personnel transactions such as hire, promote, and transfer.
  • Conduct and assess wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates. Responsible for evaluating and recommending new benefits or compensation structures or changes to existing plans.
  • Reports to the President and CEO to understand and execute the organization’s Human Resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and accession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR staff, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees at all levels.
  • Oversees employee relations function: disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, new HR technologies, talent management, employee benefits and employment law.
  • Monitors turnover and staffing levels and makes recommendations to senior management to address gaps.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resource management.
  • HR leadership experience in a growth company is preferred.
