Job Description: The HVAC Refrigeration Technician is responsible to:
Diagnose, install, service and repair refrigeration systems and equipment such as condensing units, compressors, and evaporators in residential and commercial heating and air conditioning systems.
Connecting refrigeration lines and electrical power sources.
Handling hazardous refrigerant substances, and checking systems and equipment for leaks.
Perform inspections and test systems to verify plan and specification standards of compliance.
Prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Technicians will often use system blueprints or manufacturers’ instructions to complete a job.

Job Requirements: Completed an apprentice program and or graduated from a certified HVAC trade school
Current City of Wichita Journeyman HVAC License
Hold a Universal EPA License
Valid Driver’s License, and insurable.
Must hold state specific HVAC mechanic license and be certified for CFC refrigerant recovery
5+ years experience in HVAC trade skill set in residential
4+ years experience in HVAC trade skill set for commercial refrigeration
Plumbing experience a plus but not required
