Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on regulatory reporting and technical accounting. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of payroll processes, double entry bookkeeping, accounts payable, and sales accounting. The CPA will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations while providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, supervise and review corporate, partnership, trust, non-profit and individual tax returns.
  • Supervise and review financial statement preparation.
  • Supervise and review bookkeeping services.
  • Supervise and review payroll services.
  • Provide training to staff in tax functions.
  • Tax planning for various business entities and individuals.
  • Conduct tax research for complex tax matters and client transactions.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA, Enrolled Agent or significant amount of experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in corporate, partnership, trust, not-for-profit and individual tax preparation.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with various tax and accounting software – UltraTax (Thomson Reuters CS Suite), Checkpoint, QuickBooks a plus.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks independently under pressure.
  • Conscientious and able to work with confidential information.

Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 – Salary negotiable and commensurate with experience
