Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control. Assist project management in the supervision of foremen and employees as well as the oversight of all Equipment. This role requires excellent leadership abilities to supervise teams effectively and ensure that all work is completed according to specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
  • Manage and direct multiple foreman, to meet production goals and ensure operation is safe.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel involved in the construction process.
  • Create plans and reports which will be used to update schedules.
  • Set and meet production goals.
  • Communicate plan, safety, and schedule at weekly meetings.
  • Know plans and specifications well enough to teach and train others.
  • Always look for more efficient and safer ways to perform tasks.
  • Understand daily cost / monthly and cost reports and projections.
  • Review daily reports and daily diaries.
  • Effectively manage crew, equipment, and other resources.
  • Understand foreman’s responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Must be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company vehicle to work sites, offices, and other locations as required to perform job duties.
  • Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software.
  • Experience with budgeting processes and construction estimating methodologies.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects while ensuring quality control throughout the process.
  • Have knowledge and experience of working around existing utilities / utility locates.
  • Survey knowledge and exposure to technical survey systems such as GPS.
