Job Description:

The carpenter role is responsible for providing carpentry and joinery services for remodels.

The responsibilities include:

  • Framing, installation of doors, windows, trim work, fireplaces, etc.
  • Taking measurements and preparing the jobsite
  • Installing wooden shelves, cabinets and drywall
  • Installing hardware, i.e., handles, locks, hinges
  • Select and evaluate materials for potential defects
  • Performing finish carpentry including siding, flooring and built-ins
  • This position is a manual, hands-on position and will require heavy lifting from time to time, as well as standing or moving for extended periods.
  • Work with power tools and bladed objects as well as various hand tools.

Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years framing, installation of doors, windows, trim work, fireplaces, etc.
  • Able to work Monday through Friday, and half a day on Saturday as needed to complete the job on schedule.
  • Knowledge of residential and light commercial remodeling.
  • Good knowledge of timber grades and countertop materials.
  • Self-motivated, but who is also willing to be a part of a team.
  • Expected to work and maintain good balance while working on ladders.

$60,000 commensurate with the candidate’s knowledge and experience
