Summary: Houston-based manufacturer of high performance engineered safety and industrial tools is currently seeking a Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring all product, process and system quality conform to customers’ specifications.
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate quality strategic programs identifying problems affecting quality.
  • Control further processing of a non-conforming item, deficiency, or unsatisfactory condition including stopping works or shipment until proper effective action has been taken.
  • Lead the continuous quality audit of all phase of the system that include: internal quality program, customer quality audit, supplier quality evaluation and qualification program.
  • Administer and manage continuous improvement program for all QA processes. Work closely with customers, production and suppliers to meet quality requirements.
  • Define training programs in order to detect, solve and prevent problems on the production processes.
  • Develops and maintains internal audit functions ensuring quality systems and products are consistent with internal documentation, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Develops and enhances a supplier quality systems an integral part of the company’s supply chain management initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains corrective and preventive action processes ensuring adequate identification of issues, root cause analysis and validation.
  • Develops, analyzes and reports statistical data relative to quality systems compliance and implantation ensuring company and customer expectations are maintained.
  • Develops and maintains failure analysis processes, ensuring feedback, corrective action communication, and implementation is consistent with customer expectations.
  • Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives and coordinates these objective with production processes in cooperation with other managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Liaison with customers, suppliers, and third party auditors as necessary.

Job Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Quality Assurance / Control experience in a management role (product, processes and system quality preferred)
  • Solid work ethic and desire to excel
  • High School diploma or equivalent
