Summary:
Growing mid-size litigation firm seeks a mission-driven Controller with previous accounting and operations experience in a law firm environment. The role is San Francisco-based and a hybrid of Accounting Management; Operations and Information Technology Management; and HR Management, in the areas of Compliance and Onboarding.
Job Description: Reporting to the Executive Director and CEO, the controller will manage financial accounting, preparation, reporting, budget preparation, and project management. The Controller also handles/manages daily accounting functions including payroll, cash receipts, 401(k) administration, bank reconciliations, trust account management, partner and co-counsel distributions, accounts payable, case cost audits and reconciliations, and expense report administration and management.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent major, plus 7 years of experience.
- Office operations, 5 years’ experience in a law firm environment.
- Excellent QuickBooks Desktop Premier skills, as well as the full Microsoft Office suite.
- Administrative oversite of online/web-based software (e.g., timekeeping, expense reporting, performance management; travel booking).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent major, plus 7 years of experience.
- Office operations, 5 years’ experience in a law firm environment.
