Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resource Manager specializing in Construction to lead our HR initiatives within the construction sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of human resources management, from talent acquisition and employee relations to compliance and organizational development. Duties

  • Lead talent acquisition efforts by developing sourcing strategies, managing recruitment processes, and conducting interviews to attract skilled construction professionals.
  • Oversee employee orientation programs, ensuring new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture and understand safety protocols.
  • Manage performance management systems, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and coaching to promote continuous improvement.
  • Administer benefits programs such as payroll, workers’ compensation, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), and other employee benefits ensuring compliance with legal standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by managing employment & labor law adherence, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, HR legal compliance, and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data accuracy.
  • Handle employee misconduct investigations with transparency and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Develop organizational design strategies and succession planning initiatives to support long-term business growth.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field; advanced certifications such as SHRM-SCP or PHR preferred.
  • 3 to 5+ years of proven experience in human resources within the construction or related industries.
  • Experience working with CDL/DOT-regulated employees.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • On-Boarding of new employees.
  • Process and handle employment claims.
  • Interview and refer candidates for open positions.
  • Strong HR skills coupled with knowledge in employment & labor law, HR legal compliance, and regulatory standards such as OSHA.
  • Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS), data analysis skills for reporting purposes, and strategic thinking in HR roles.
