Job Description:

Seeking A Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager that acts as the primary liaison between business clients and insurance carriers, managing renewals, policy endorsements, and client service for commercial policies. Must focus on retention, risk assessment, and coverage accuracy, with active Property & Casualty licensing and 3-5+ years of industry experience.

  • Account Servicing: Manage day-to-day service needs, including policy renewals, coverage questions, endorsements, and auditing.
  • Client Relations: Act as the main point of contact, providing expert advice, resolving problems, and building strong relationships.
  • Underwriting Liaison: Negotiate coverage terms and premiums with carriers on behalf of clients.
  • New Business Development: Identify cross-selling opportunities and round out accounts for existing clients.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date client files within the agency management system.

Job Requirements:

Education and / or Experience

  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years related commercial lines experience
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license is required.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills.
  • Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., Applied, Vertafore) and MS Office.
